This page covers pricehq.tech, its contact form, chat, the hello@pricehq.tech address and the PriceHQ updates email. Each product (ThreadCount, ClearAudit and Faden) has its own privacy policy on its own website.

Browsing the site

There is no advertising or social-media tracking, and no tracking cookies.
Visit counts: we count page views with Umami, open-source analytics that PriceHQ runs itself at analytics.pricehq.tech. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses: it records the page, the referring site, the browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and a rough location (country, region and city) worked out from your IP address. Search terms in page addresses aren't recorded.
Cloudflare Web Analytics: a cookieless beacon from Cloudflare also counts visits and measures how fast pages load. Cloudflare sees your IP address to do this but doesn't use it to track you across sites.
Do Not Track: if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, neither of these loads.
Fonts and styles are served from this site. The web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, the page requested, time and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

The contact form

What it collects: your name, email address, the product you picked (if any) and your message.
Spam protection: the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automation and sees your IP address to do so. It sets no tracking cookies. The form also counts recent messages from each IP address (kept for an hour, then discarded) to stop floods.
What happens next: your message goes to PriceHQ's helpdesk, and we email you a copy with a reference number from hello@pricehq.tech. Replies to that email join the same conversation.

The chat and email

The chat on the contact page, the contact form and email to hello@pricehq.tech all go to PriceHQ's own self-hosted copy of Chatwoot, an open-source helpdesk, at desk.pricehq.tech.

What it keeps: the name and email you give, your messages and any files you attach, plus basic technical details the chat records with a conversation (browser, operating system, and the page you were on).
Cookies: the chat stores a functional cookie and local storage in your browser so the conversation is still there if you reload the page. It isn't used for tracking or advertising. The chat only loads on the contact page.
Network: the helpdesk is reached through Cloudflare, which protects it and adds its cookieless performance beacon inside the chat window.
AI assistant: an AI assistant answers these messages first. It says it is one, and you can ask for a person at any time (type “human”). To write its replies, your messages and the name and email address you gave are sent to Anthropic in the United States, which does not use them to train its models. The assistant answers only from the public pages of this site and the products' help centres. A person reads anything it hands over, and anything about billing, privacy or your account.
Why: to read and answer your message. We use your email to reply and for nothing else, and never add it to the updates list unless you sign up yourself.
How long: conversations are closed after a period of inactivity and deleted two years after they are resolved, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

PriceHQ updates (email)

What it keeps: your email address and whether you've confirmed or unsubscribed. The list runs on Listmonk, open-source software PriceHQ runs itself at lists.pricehq.tech.
Double opt-in: nobody is added until they click the link in the confirmation email. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.
No tracking: the emails have no open or click tracking.
Leaving: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. From the same page you can also download or delete everything the list holds about you.
The sign-up form uses the same Turnstile check and hourly limits as the contact form.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete anything you've sent us. Email hello@pricehq.tech or use the chat, and a person will confirm when it's done.
