Refunds and cancellation

Cancel any time. Here's what happens to what you've paid.

Draft for review. This document is not yet in effect and may change before launch.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service has a major failure, you're entitled to cancel and get a refund for the unused part, or compensation for its reduced value. You're also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

Cancelling

  • Cancel any time from the client portal, or email hello@pricehq.tech from the address on your account.
  • Choose to cancel straight away, or at the end of the paid period (the default). The service keeps running until then.
  • When the service ends, its account and data are removed. Download anything you need first.
  • An unpaid renewal suspends the service at the end of the paid period; it's cancelled and removed 30 days after that if still unpaid.

Shared hosting

  • Monthly plans: stop at the end of the month already paid. The current month isn't refunded unless the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
  • Yearly plans: if you cancel within the first 30 days of a new yearly plan, you get a full refund. After that, on request, we refund the unused whole months at the yearly plan's monthly rate (one twelfth of the yearly price).
  • Downgrades take effect from your next invoice; upgrades are charged pro rata straight away.

VPS hosting

  • Each server is created as soon as you pay, so once it has been provisioned the current month (or, for yearly plans, the current month and any setup) isn't refunded unless the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
  • Yearly VPS plans: on request, we refund the unused whole months after the current one at one twelfth of the yearly price.
  • If we haven't provisioned your server yet, cancel and get a full refund.

App development

Payment stages are set out in your quote. If you end a project early, you pay for the work completed up to that point, and we refund any amount paid in advance for work not yet started.

Accounts closed for a breach

If we cancel a service because of a serious breach of our acceptable use policy, prepaid fees are refunded only where the law requires.

How refunds are paid

To the original payment method, within 10 business days of approval.
